Untitled:, 2011-Present

When I was 15 years old, I decided to become a software engineer as my lifetime career. Ten years later, I had successfully become one, however, life was overwhelmed by work, and left little time for my inner life. I questioned if that was all I wanted to be, or I wanted more. I did not know the answer when the internal voice was muted by the mundane typing sounds on the keyboard.

Untitled: is a series of mixed media paintings, that invoke incidents that transcend silence in an intimate proximity. Every piece was inspired by an moment in life, or something I encountered, which included an art installation, a movie scene, and a piece of music.

I work on this series and the Here, There and Everywhere series concurrently. While the other series focuses on the sky, this series focuses on the happening on the ground. These paintings are done on unstretched canvas to reveal a poster-like appearance, that gives a down-to-earth feeling towards the audience in comparison to the Here, There and Everywhere series.
